I'm Brett Shepherd, but you can call me Shep. I’m running as an Independent for Maryland House of Delegates in District 6 because our community deserves someone who puts people before party politics. 

For too long, Dundalk, Essex, Edgemere, Sparrows Point, Fort Howard, and the surrounding communities have been treated like an afterthought. We keep losing local services, our schools are underbuilt, emergency response feels unreliable, small businesses are squeezed, and working families are paying more while getting less.

I'm running to give District 6 an independent voice in Annapolis — someone who is not tied to a party machine and is willing to work with anyone who will help our community.

My campaign is focused on practical local issues: restoring services, improving public safety, feeding students, helping small businesses, supporting parks and rec, cleaning up neighborhoods, expanding homeownership, and making sure District 6 gets its fair share.
